Bought it in August of '09 with 12,200 miles. Turned over 66,000 tonight. I only put 8,000 miles on it last year. It doesn't get driven much.
Still love it just as much as I did when I first got it.

Damn... never realized how nice the Mazda 3's gauges look at night

It is pretty spiffy for an econobox.

I'll say! Is the Blue backlight on the gauges factory, or did you add that in? It really ties in the whole setup

I recognize those gauges! BTW, our temp gauges are useless and can't be trusted. Found that out on a Mazda forum. They apparently never really move from center.

Interesting. I did just have my coolant flushed as preventative maintenance. My car was built right before they started using long life coolant, so Mazda suggests it gets changed every five years or 60,000 miles.

Nope, all factory! I like it a lot as well. You can adjust the brightness of the gauges but I keep them pretty bright because that looks best with the blue, lol. It looks better in person but this is just an iPotato shot.

Yeah, I get a code about once a year for a temp too low for operation. I went looking for help on one ofthe mazda forums and read up a lot about it. Apparently the temp gauge is more for looks than anything else. Guys were saying their cars overheated without the temp gauge ever moving. When my code got thrown last time I checked the gauge, and there it was, smack in the middle. As usual.

That's so strange. I'm not surprised, though. The newer 3s (generation after ours) don't even have temp gauges. Neither does our CX-5. Just a little blue light that goes off once the engine is up to operating temp.
